Morata has been aided by the arrival of Dusan Vlahovic, who only mustered a 5.875 average rating for March, and the Spaniard’s resurgence continued up until the international break.

The expectation placed upon Vlahovic to hit the ground running, which he did, and serve as Juve’s primary goal-getter has liberated Morata.

The forward scored three times from three starts in March, notching a brace in the 3-1 victory over Sampdoria and scoring the game’s only goal in the win over Spezia. His cool finish against Thiago Motta’s side was his first Serie A goal in 2022. Initially, Morata had taken on a more selfless role in the forward line but he re-emerged as a goalscorer himself in March, outscoring Vlahovic.
