Sassuolo director Giovanni Carnevali is a hoot, isn’t he? The guy just loves feeding Juventus his club’s finest talent (we’ll take Davide Frattesi, too, if you’re offering).

Carnevali recently told La Gazzetta dello Sport (via @JuveFC) that he’s “waiting for Juve with open arms” regarding potential negotiations for Raspadori. “I have an excellent relationship with the club,” he added. “But if Juve want Raspadori, they have to spend.”

However, Gazzetta’s Fabiano Della Velle (via Forza Juventus), who was the first to break the news of Juve’s move for Vlahovic, believes that Sassuolo are looking for a fee in the region of €30m for the 22-year-old.

For me, Raspadori is a player that could go on to enjoy a long and prosperous career with a new-look Juventus. Thus, €30m is inconsequential.

Considering that the club want to sign a new left-back, centre-back and go big in midfield this summer, signing Raspadori at this affordable price will give them more financial freedom when attempting to bolster said positions.

Overall, this has all the makings of a relatively low-risk deal with plenty of upside. Raspadori is a fine schematic fit who will balance out Juve’s projected front three next season.
