Danilo (DM) – 7/10 – Offered some progression in the first half and looked more comfortable at the base of midfield than he did against Salernitana. Smartly cut off Bologna’s supply line into their front two and made a superb challenge to deny Mattias Svanberg in transition. Quieter in the second half as he eventually returned to right-back.

Juan Cuadrado (CM) – 4.5/10 – Cuadrado, just days after extending his contract with the club, struggled mightily in a faux central midfield role. The Colombian primarily operated in the right half-space and occasionally rotated with Dybala which saw him join Dusan Vlahovic in the forward line. Nevertheless, he struggled in a more central role. His decision-making and execution of rather simple actions were both poor.

Adrien Rabiot (CM) – 5/10 – The contest drifted him by and he missed an open goal (wasn’t as simple as it sounds, mind) before Bologna took the lead.
