Juventus booked their place in the Coppa Italia final as they beat Fiorentina 2-0 in Turin on Wednesday night, claiming a 3-0 aggregate triumph.

In a match where Dusan Vlahovic wasn’t super influential, the Old Lady demonstrated that they have some other names who can step up and play good, solid football when the circumstances are right and true.

In a victory that the team needed to secure their berth to the Coppa Italia final against Inter, several players stepped up to fill a void left by the massive Serbian’s off game.

Massimiliano Allegri should be proud of the effort that his side gave – the score should have been 3-0 had Adrien Rabiot’s shoulder remained onside – and supporters will surely hope that the Bianconeri can build on this vintage victory against a solid lot moving forward in domestic matches of any remaining competition.

Here are the Juventus player ratings from Wednesday’s win

Mattia Perin  (GK) – 7.5/10 – Made clutch saves when necessary, two times come to mind right away. Positive in front of the net, and will seemingly be with the club for some time to come.

Mattia De Sciglio (RB) – 6/10 – Loose at times, but also firm and strong at other points. A bit of a mixed match for Mattia but he served his purpose admirably before he was substituted for Juan Cuadrado with ten minutes to go.

Leonardo Bonucci (CB) – 6.5/10 – A leader along the backline who communicates and organises as well as his longtime partner Giorgio Chiellini. Not the best evening for the veteran, and did appear frazzled by Fiorentina’s style and willingness to run.

Matthijs de Ligt (CB) – 6/10 – Also not the best performance from the Dutchman, but the team got a clean sheet despite the mistakes, thanks to the goalkeeper.

Alex Sandro (LB) – 6.5/10 – Played well in what will likely be his last season with the team. The type of performances the player has given throughout his career in Turin.
