The penultimate month of Juventus’ 2021/22 season is in the books, folks.

Massimiliano Allegri’s side saw their 16-game unbeaten run snapped by Inter Milan in the Derby d’Italia at the start of April, but back-to-back victories to round off the month has thrust the Bianconeri into the Coppa Italia final and, dare I say it, next season’s Champions League.

Juventini were forced to sit through five games of Allegri-ball in April which means that three starts were required to qualify for our Player of the Month award this time around.

Matthijs de Ligt claimed his second victory on the spin in March, but the Dutchman’s slipped out of the top three on this occasion and a new winner of this award will officially be crowned.

But who will it be? Let’s find out!

3. Adrien Rabiot (Average rating – 6.2)

It took almost three years for Rabiot to step up on the big occasion. The Frenchman was a force to be reckoned with in the Derby d’Italia defeat as he earned a season-high 8.5 rating.

However, since then, it’s been a return to the norm for the perpetually underwhelming midfielder. Rabiot continues to get through a ton of defensive work but his contribution in possession has been close to nil since the Inter game.

Thus, a string of mediocre ratings closed out April which brought down his average to 6.2 for the month. Still, it was enough to see him earn a podium finish.
