Zakaria impressed in April right from the very outset. The Swiss international replaced a beaten and battered Manuel Locatelli early on in the defeat to Inter and showcased just how competent of a midfielder he is.

He’s proving to be a valuable asset for Max Allegri, although it’d be great to see him offer more at transitions. Much of his good work thus far has come in the defensive phase.

Nevertheless, Zakaria produced a deft assist for Paulo Dybala in the win over Sassuolo and while many thought his display at the Mapei was his best of April, we believed his finest showing come in the Coppa Italia triumph over Fiorentina.

Either way, the January addition earned a very respectable 6.33 average rating for his work throughout the month.
