Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal have been offered the opportunity to secure the services of France and Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

The player has been reportedly unsettled in Turin, with the Bianconeri’s unable to convince the Frenchman that their project is on track. With recent turbulent times involving legal investigations and the club’s board leaving, things don’t look to be improving.

According to a report from the Times, the London clubs have been offered the Frenchman as Juve try to capitalise on his impressive World Cup showings. With just six months left on his contract and chances of renewal seeming slim, it’s the Italian side’s last chance to cash in.

The report claims that the player’s mother and agent Veronique Rabiot has offered her son to both sides, with Premier League money beckoning.

Arsenal and Spurs have been offered the chance to sign Adrien Rabiot

Spurs manager Antonio Conte is expected to push the board to sign the Frenchman ahead of their Champions League round of 16 clash with AC Milan.

Manchester United emerged as the front-runners to sign Rabiot in the summer, but talks ended near deadline day. The signing of Casemiro played a role, but so did United representatives’ difficulties dealing with Rabiot’s mother.

When France lost a penalty shootout to Switzerland at Euro 2020, Veronique was at the centre of a storm again. According to the Athletic, there was a quarrel between Paul Pogba and Rabiot, with the former blaming the latter for a mistake during the match. Veronique would get involved and blame Pogba for Switzerland’s Mario Gavranovic’s equaliser.

Sometimes dictated as ‘authoritarian’ in nature by the media due to her outspoken nature in her dealings, it was Veronique’s haggling which scuppered the United deal. Allegedly, she decided to drive a hard bargain on contract terms after a transfer fee had been agreed between the clubs. Massive demands and a lack of flexibility drove the club’s interest elsewhere, leading to the signing of Casemiro.

In a recent report from Italian journalist Daniele Longo, it is claimed that the wealthy Newcastle United are eyeing up a move for Adrien Rabiot, although the 27-year-old will be expected to only look at the salary details before embarking on his new challenge.

Juventus have no chance to extend Rabiot’s contract, even though Allegri likes him a lot – leaving a January bidding war brewing.
