The Serie A season is about to restart following the break for the World Cup and Juventus will be looking to earn a crucial three points in their return to the pitch this week.

Max Allegri’s side will take on Cremonese on Wednesday in their first real match in a month and a half. Cremonese has struggled this season and currently sits at eighteenth in the table with seven points. Juventus, on the other hand, ended the 2022 half of the season on a positive note. The Bianconeri won their final six league matches and two of their three warm-up friendlies (the third one was a draw). If Juventus can use this momentum to the fullest, they should be able to secure the victory against Cremonese.

Juventus will not be at full strength for this matchup, however. Juventus will be without Paul Pogba and Dusan Vlahovic, but the attacking combination of Arkadiusz Milik and Moise Kean should be able to score easily against a weak defense. Defensively, Juventus has been solid recently and should be able to keep that form up. Federico Chiesa should also be back for this match which gives Max Allegri the chance to work him back into form.

The match against Cremonese provides a strong opportunity to start 2023 with a solid victory that could help keep Juventus’ momentum going.

While no team should ever overlook another one, this should be a game that Juventus should win quite confidently. This win should help them continue to generate momentum as the team looks to close some ground on the current league leaders Napoli and solidify their Champions League spot.
