Juventus won their first match of 2023 and after a full slate of games, they were able to keep their current position in the league table.

After a full slate of games, Juventus remains in third place with 34 points. This helps to secure Juve’s spot in the Champions League zone even though there is still a lot of football to be played.

There wasn’t a ton of movement in the table after the Wednesday matches concluded. AC Milan won, keeping them in 2nd place and Lazio lost, widening the gap between them and Juve. Most important, however, was that Napoli lost to Inter Milan. Napoli lost for the first time this season and it helps everyone in the table, including Juventus.

Juventus plays Udinese in their next match which should be another opportunity for them to earn another valuable three points. This match represents a great final tune-up opportunity in their preparation for their clash with Napoli scheduled for January 13th.

Looking forward to the next match day, there are several clashes that could have major impacts on Juventus’ position in the league.

Napoli takes on Sampdoria, which is currently in the relegation zone, in their next match. Inter will play against Monza while there will be what could shape up to be a great match between Roma and AC Milan on Saturday afternoon. All of these matches could help shift the table positioning a little bit should they break in Juve’s favor.
