Juve’s “summer of change” looks like it’s set to begin and it starts with striker Dusan Vlahovic.
According to a report from 90min.com, the 23-year old striker wants to leave Turin. This would be a severe blow to a club that has struggled to score goals on a consistent level this season. Yet, it might be a good move for a team that has financial problems and is weak in a number of spots on the pitch.
Vlahovic came to Juventus from Fiorentina in 2022. Since then, has struggled to score goals under Max Allegri. Allegri’s style of football has been criticized all year mostly because it looks like it is not keeping up with the modern style of the game which puts more emphasis on scoring goals. These tactics could definitely be affecting the talented striker.
Vlahovic may benefit from a change in scenery with big names like Bayern Munich and Chelsea FC interested in bringing him into their clubs. If they do sign him, they would be getting a great player who needs some help around him to score goals more consistently.
If Juve sells Vlahovic, they could begin much-needed rebuild. They could use the funds to bring an infusion of youth into the club that could help them return to the top of European football down the line.
Selling Vlahovic would certainly leave a hole in the Juventus attack. Yet, it would be best for the player and the club. It seems more and more likely that this is a big year of change for the Bianconeri. Selling Vlahovic would provide funds needed to bring in young players who can replace some of the older players on the roster.
