Forward Arkadiusz Milik is the first move of the summer by the black and white. The 29 year old Polish forward joined the club on loan from Marseille during the 2022-2023 season after two seasons in Ligue 1. A decision on Milik needed to be made by the end of the month when the loan ends. Juventus decided to keep him in Turin for a while longer.

Arkadiusz Milik’s new contract

Juventus sign Arkadiusz Milik pick up the option to acquire Milik outright and sign a contract through the 2026 season. The contract is worth 6.3 million to be payed out over the next three years. There is an additional 1.1 million on the table for Milik that can be earned by completing certain conditions during the duration of his current contract.

The potential of Arkadiusz Milik in Serie A

Milik appeared in 27 total matches for Juventus, starting in 17 of them. Throughout his 27 matches with the club Milik scored 7 goals and assisted on 1. His time with the black and white has not been the breakout play expected. Milik though has shown his skill and how he can factor into a winning Juventus lineup.

His time at Juventus compared to Marseille and Napoli has shown growth in his decision making abilities. Milik’s shots on target, goals per shot, tackle and passing completion percentages all are at new highs. His scoring numbers are below expectation but he has proved he can do it in Serie A in the past at Napoli. Scoring 28 goals over 2 full seasons, this is a league that he already has experience and accomplishment within.

Milik may be on the older side for the club that looks to be switching gears to younger players. But his leadership and decisive play will be an exceptional addition, (or technically retention) for the club for the next three seasons.
