The Serie A season has begun and Juventus looks like they are ready to challenge for the Scudetto this year.

Juventus beat Udinese today by a score of 3-0 and it didn’t even seem that close. Federico Chiesa wasted no time in this one, scoring in the 2nd minute of action. This was great to see from a star player who struggled to stay healthy last season.

Dusan Vlahovic, who struggled to put the ball into the net last season, scored in the 20th minute off of a penalty kick. Adrien Rabiot finished the scoring for the Bianconeri in first-half stoppage time.

This was a great start to the season. Juventus looked strong and as if there was very little rust that they needed to knock off as the year begins.

Chiesa looked absolutely dynamic in this one and showed once again just how important he is to a title run for the club. While it was a penalty kick, one can hope that Vlahovic getting on the scoreboard in this one will help him build confidence for the long year ahead. Rabiot, too, showed again just how important he was as a player for the club.

To be fair, this was the first match of a long season. Also, Udinese doesn’t look like they are going to be competing for a title this season, as well. Yet, Juve looked quite good in this one. If they can keep this up for the remainder of the season, they will absolutely be looking at Champions League football and maybe even a Serie A title once we get to the end of the year.
