The Serbian striker made a late substitute appearance in their 2-0 home success over AC Milan, stretching his legs for just seven minutes as Juve gained revenge for their recent Supercoppa Italiana defeat.
Vlahovic has so far been directly involved in eight goals from a dozen Champions League appearances, so will no doubt be hoping it will be a lucky 13 when the Turin giants clash with Club Brugge.
He was on target, along with Weston McKennie, in their last Champions League outing. Visitors Manchester City were outclassed, with the English champions fortunate to only fall 2-0 inside the Allianz Stadium.
As Vlahovic impressed against City, their title rivals Arsenal are believed to be contemplating whether to bolster their attack with the 24-year-old.
The London club really do need to secure a forward during the January window if they want a serious tilt at the English Premier League title. No doubt if Vlahovic is on their radar they will send scouts to the tie.
The Gunners know the striker well, having come close to signing him from Fiorentina in 2022. They were pipped at the post by Vlahovic’s decision to move to the Bianconeri.
Vlahovic, who has bagged seven goals in 17 Serie A games this term, will fancy finding his scoring boots inside the Jan Breydelstadion against the Belgian champions if given a run out. He’s likely to get the nod over talented Turkish teenager Kenan Yildiz, who was taken off at half-time against Milan with an adductor injury.
Precious points are up for grabs, with Juventus sitting 14th in the inaugural new-look Champions League, on 11 points, ahead of 19th-placed Club Brugge with 10 points.
A stalemate won’t do either side much good, as they won’t wish to miss out on a play-off place by finishing in the bottom eight of the 32-team format.
This will be the seventh and penultimate round of the first phase of the new Champions League setup. A finish in the top eight will guarantee those teams a direct place into the last 16 knockout stage.
Juventus should be confident for this showdown after they brushed aside Milan at the weekend. They also have a favourable record against Club Brugge, having notched a hat-trick of triumphs in their four meetings.
Yet Club Brugge are on an 18-match unbeaten streak. They have only failed to score once in their past 30 matches. Their hotshot Swedish striker Gustaf Nilsson will be the obvious dangerman for Juve.
With a win for maximum points imperative for both teams, the Bianconeri could unleash the hosts’ former academy graduate Samuel Mbangula to try and cause damage.
Although head coach Thiago Motto could bring back whizzy winger Francisco Conceicao. The Porto loanee has missed the past four matches because of a muscle strain.
Club Brugge’s last defeat was against Italian opposition, October’s 3-1 reversal to Milan, so bodes well for Motto to snatch three Champions League points.
