Dusan Vlahovic on the radar of top London clubs

Dusan Vlahovic, Juventus’ leading scorer this term, is being monitored by English Premier League (EPL) highfliers Arsenal and Chelsea.

The Serbian international, who has hit 44 goals since he joined from Fiorentina three years ago, is a high-earner at the club but has yet to start a match in 2025.

Arsenal and Chelsea are both interested in bringing in a proven goalscorer during the January transfer window, with the 24-year-old seen as a viable option. Vlahovic has been tracked by both teams for two years, and came perilously close to joining the Gunners instead of Juventus.

Yet now Vlahovic is viewed as being surplus to head coach Thiago Motto, as he hasn’t managed to reach an agreement with the club about extending his deal beyond June 2026.

Vlahovic clearly appears unhappy at Juve, and even argued with supporters following the thrilling 2-2 draw with Venezia in December. This was despite salvaging a Serie A point by converting a last-gasp penalty.

Paris St-Germain forward Kolo Muani is expected to fill Vlahovic’s boots, but only if Juve can get his loan finalised.

Muani turned down the chance to compete in the English Premier League (EPL) with Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, both surprisingly struggling, in favour of a move to the Turin giants.

Although Muani passed his medical and signed a deal with the Bianconeri last week. Yet his agreement could not be completed as the Ligue 1 leaders already have a maximum six players out on loan.

If Muani moves to Italy, then Vlahovic could be off to the EPL. Arsenal are clearly lacking a striker over their past few campaigns, while Chelsea have been seeking a forward since preseason.

Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca would need to offload out-of-favour striker Christopher Nkunku, and maybe Joao Felix, if Vlahovic is to move to Stamford Bridge during the January transfer window.

The Blues have been in negotiations with the Bianconeri. But talks have been about outcast defender Renato Veiga, who has played just one EPL game this term. He’s versatile as he can fit in as centre-back, left-back or midfield, which would suit Motto’s tactics.

Although Veiga only joined Chelsea on a seven-year deal from Swiss side FC Basel in the summer, he appears to not feature in Maresca’s long-term plans. The stumbling block about a move to Italy is that Juventus prefer a loan, while Chelsea are demanding a permanent deal.

There are reports that the Bianconeri have opened discussions to bring Udinese centre-back Thomas Kristensen to Turin. The Danish international is also a target for stuttering Leicester City and Tottenham.
