Juventus are undergoing a revamp, with their forward line expected to be boosted by the return of French international Muani or a Premier League misfit.

Muani was a success during his short stint at Juve since January, bagging 10 goals from 22 appearances. Paris Saint-Germain ideally want to sell him this summer, but his price tag of at least €40 million (US$46.4m) is out of reach of cash-strapped Juventus.

The Bianconeri are pushing for a season-long loan without an obligation to buy, but the Ligue 1 champions have a handful of clubs interested in acquiring Muani. PSG could be tempted to let Muani rejoin Juve, but with a conditional obligation to purchase him.

With this obstacle, the Bianconeri are casting their net at alternatives, revisiting their interest in Manchester United’s Rasmus Hojlund and Liverpool’s Darwin Nunez.

Poland international Arkadiusz Milik, who missed the entire 2024/25 campaign because of various injuries, may be forced to stay with the Italian giants because of his injury-plagued career. He would be a back-up option to recent signing Jonathan David, although Juve would prefer to loan out the 31-year-old.

Vlahovic seeks escape route

Dusan Vlahovic, the club’s top scorer every season since he arrived from Fiorentina in January 2025, wants to switch to the Premier League but could end up in the Spanish top tier with long-term admirers Atletico Madrid or being reunited with former Juventus boss Max Allegri at AC Milan.

Ex-Juve sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli established contact with Hojlund’s entourage but not Nunez’s representatives.

Hojlund moved to Manchester United two years ago, following his breakthrough season at Atalanta, but has failed to justify his €70m (US$81.2m) transfer fee.

United have slapped a €50m (US$58m) price on the Denmark ace, which has already deterred a move to Napoli and is likely to put off Juventus unless a cash swap deal can be agreed.

Serie A sides show Nunez interest

Napoli also showed a serious interest in Uruguayan striker Nunez, who reportedly agreed personal terms with the Serie A champions.

The deal collapsed after Napoli failed to reach an agreement with Liverpool regarding the transfer fee.Liverpool are demanding €60m (US$69.6m) for Nunez, which is why Juventus have yet to kick off formal negotiations.

Saudi Pro League’s Al-Hilal FC are showing serious interest in the 26-year-old, which would be far more financially rewarding than joining the Bianconeri who are currently ill-prepared for a shot at winning the Scudetto.
