Let’s get critical as Old Juve give their player ratings from a shambolic 4-0 defeat at home to Atalanta in Serie A on Sunday.

Juve's title challenge appeared to have ended following a crushing 4-0 loss at home to Atalanta. Goals from Mateo Rotegui, Martin De Roon, Davide Zappacosta and Ademola Lookman left the Juventus fans in anger, with many leaving voicing the displeasure or simply walking out.

The result leaves Juve nine points behind leaders Inter Milans, while a win for Lazio this evening will see Juve drop out of the Champions League places.

Michele Di Gregorio - 7 (Old Juve man of the match)

The only player to get pass marks. Yes, he conceded four goals, but if it wasn’t for him, it could have been at least six or seven. Let down by the defence big time, some breathtaking heroics in first half stoppage time to keep it at 1-0.

Timothy Weah - 5

Been asked to push a bit more forward against Davide Zappacosta, leaving acres of space at the back for Atalanta to exploit. Made good ground offensively, but spurned multiple chances.

Federico Gatti - 6

Struggled for fitness after suffering with a muscle problem in the week. Did not look 100%, but somehow Juve looked worse after he went off. The only Juventus player applauded by the fans.

Lloyd Kelly - 4

His pass gave away the ball for the second. Looked lightweight in defence.

Andrea Cambiaso - 4

Far from his usual self, struggled against Juve alumni Juan Cuadrado in the first half. Not his usual ball-carrying self.

Manuel Locatelli - 4

Captain of the side has to shoulder some of the blame for the way heads dropped when the Bianconeri trailed 2-0. Gave his all, but couldn’t gain any traction in the middle of the park.

Khephren Thuram - 5

Started very bright early, bailing Juve out with a block when Atalanta were through on goal after four minutes before having a decent chance sail wide minutes later. Did very little of note after.

Nico Gonzalez - 3

Way off the mark. Absolutely nothing about him could change the course of the game.

Weston McKennie - 4

Juve’s biggest attacking threat all night. Gave away a needless penalty kick, which started their downfall.

Kenan Yildiz - 3

Failed to make an impact, losing the ball multiple times and struggling to complete passes. Hooked at half-time.

Kolo Muani - 3

Very little service. Frustrated, chasing things down he probably shouldn’t, and making the attack more slack. His least convincing performance so far.

Substitutes:

Teun Koopmeiners - 4

Came on for Yildiz against his former club but was ineffective. At least Yildiz could blame his underwhelming game on the stomach flu.

Samuel Mbangula - 5

Had the odd nice touch here and there, but was powerless against the stern Atalanta defence.

Alberto Costa - 5

Probably didn’t get cut open as much as Weah, but also didn’t get forward as much.

Pierre Kalulu - 5

Probably made the most impact defensively after coming on, but couldn’t work miracles.

Dusan Vlahovic – 3

Chucked on at 3-0 to try and salvage something. His slip-up led to Atalanta’s fourth goal.
