Juventus bounced back from their midweek Coppa Italia exit in style. Goals from Khephren Thuram and Teun Koopmeiners sealed the victory against the resolute Verona visitors, who shut the Bianconeri until midway through the second half.

The win leaves Juve level on points with Atalanta, Sunday's opponents, and just six points behind leaders Inter Milan.

Old Juve’s Player Ratings

Starting XI:

Michele Di Gregorio - 7

Tested early on by shots from Tomas Suslov and Amin Sarr, otherwise was fairly quiet. Stunned by a Suslov screamer, but was saved by an offside call.

Timothy Weah - 7

Another shift out of position, but he continues to make the position his own. No individual moments to speak of, but barely put a foot wrong all night.

Federico Gatti - 7

Became a centurion tonight with his 100th Juventus appearance. Had little to do at the back, so found himself repeatedly going forward. Fluffed his scoring chance after 'keeper Lorenzo Montipo fumbled Kenan Yildiz's free-kick.

Lloyd Kelly - 7

Very little to do, but continues to look more assured after a shaky start to life in Turin.

Andrea Cambiaso - 8 (Old Juve Man of the Match)

Ran the show and was a constant menace. Grabbed the assist for the opener, his first in the league since January 2024. He could have had a few more if his team-mates were more on point.

Khephren Thuram - 8

Would have got a few more goals, but Montipo was in fine fettle. Broke the plucky defence with a clinical finish to set a personal record for goal contributions in a single season in Europe's top five leagues of seven (three goals, four assists).

Manuel Locatelli - 8

Heroics of Montipo denied him adding to the tally. Cambiaso got the assist for Thuram’s goal, but it would never have happened without Locatelli's exquisite pass.

Weston McKennie - 7

Took the place of Teun Koopmeiners in the coveted no10 spot. His usual energetic self, another one denied by cat-like Montipo.

Nicolas Gonzalez - 6

A big improvement on recent displays. Set up Kolo Muani up with a great chance, and unfortunate not to score either a header in the second half.

Kenan Yildiz - 7

Linked up well, and provided lots of scoring opportunies for his team-mates. Had a couple of decent chances of his own.

Kolo Muani - 6

Interestingly picked over Dusan Vlahovic after the Coppa Italia debacle. Made himself available and got plenty of service, but way too wasteful in front of goal.

Substitutes

Teun Koopmeiners - 7

Greeted by jeers when he came on, which turned into cheers by scoring the second goal thanks to a rare error from Montipo.

Alberto Costa- 7

A more substantial second appearance after his cameo in the Coppa Italia exit midweek, given a 30-minute run-out. He started the move that led to Juve’s second goal.

Pierre Kalulu - 6

First game back since his thigh injury in January. Great to have him back in competitive action.

Samuel Mbangula - 7

Got stuck in, provided the assist for the second.
