Juventus climbed into third place in Serie A ahead of Sunday’s clash between Atalanta and Bologna by seeing off a stubborn Lecce side 2-1 inside the jam-packed Allianz Stadium.

OldJuve player ratings for Juventus vs Lecce:

Michele Di Gregorio - 7

Great double save from Nikola Krstovic early on. When he denied Ante Rebic was cheered like a goal at the other end. Switched off for Lecce’s consolation goal.

Pierre Kalulu - 6

Steady and dependable. Was able to move further forward, supporting the attack as and when needed.

Renato Veiga - 7

Managed to effectively wrangle Krstovic to keep him at bay most of the time. Was not averse to using the dark arts to keep the Montenegrin under control when required.

Lloyd Kelly - 7

Looks decidedly more composed with the ball at his feet. The settled back three has given him a lot more confidence, and he is finally growing into the jersey.

Nicolas Gonzalez - 6

Thriving under Tudor’s new regime, imbibed with a new-found confidence. Influential on the right hand side, his good performances are gradually becoming more impressive.

Manuel Locatelli - 7

Another statesmanlike performance. He continues to thrive in his new role as captain to run the show in midfield, and dictated the pace of the game.

Khephren Thuram - 6

Was a doubt pre-game due to muscle fatigue. Locatelli was the one who started every move forward, but Thuram was always the first pass. Has brought much needed stability since Tudor's arrival.

Weston McKennie - 6

Once again out of position, this time on the left flank as a wingback. Completed 92% percent of his passes, and created at scoring chances.

Teun Koopmeiners - 7

Grabbed Juve’s early opener within 100 seconds of the first whistle. Looked far more like the player he was last season, rather than the shell we saw during Thiago Motta’s tenure.

Kenan Yildiz - 8 (OldJuve Man of the Match)

Scored for the second game in a row. Voted the Panini Man of the Match and with good reason. An integral cog in Tudor’s new system and praised before the game by Gianfranco Zola.

Dusan Vlahovic - 7

Was very effective in the supplier role, providing both assists. His frustration at not grabbing his own goal was visible when he came off though.

Substitutes:

Timothy Weah - 5

Deputised for McKennie in the makeshift left-back position. Struggled to cope with Konan N’Dri late on.

Andrea Cambiaso - 5

Shot from distance to sting the gloves of Wladimiro Falco, his only positive contribution. At fault for Federico Baschirotto’s goal which gave Lecce a lifeline.

Kolo Muani - 5

His lengthy goal drought continues, having not found the back of the net after bagging five in his first three Serie A games. Not too much in terms of service, but also did not offer anything in the way of assists like Vlahovic before him.

Francisco Conceicao - 6

Only had 15 minutes to show his silky skills. Welcomed on with an ovation from the Juve faithful, but did little to get the crowd going once he arrived.

Nicolo Savona - 6

A brief cameo that was too short to make any errors, and not enough time to bring anything to the game.
