Juventus have reportedly reached an agreement in principle with Bologna's head coach Thiago Motta to take over the reins from Massimiliano Allegri next season.

Thiago Motta, 41, has caught the eye of Juventus' hierarchy with his outstanding work at Bologna in his first full season at the helm. The Rossoblu currently sit in an impressive 4th place in the Serie A table, just two points adrift of Juventus.

Motta's attacking, possession-based style of play has revolutionised Bologna's approach on the pitch, with his team displaying fluid movement and a strong sense of trust among the players.

Several Bologna players have excelled under Motta's guidance this season, including striker Joshua Zirkzee, midfielder Lewis Ferguson, and young defender Riccardo Calafiori. Motta's ability to develop young talent and implement an attractive brand of football has not gone unnoticed by Juventus, who are eager to rebuild after a disappointing campaign.

Massimiliano Allegri, who has one year remaining on his contract with Juventus, is widely expected to part ways with the club at the end of this season. The Bianconeri's lacklustre performance has left the club searching for a fresh approach, and Motta is believed to be the primary candidate to fill Allegri's shoes.

While the specifics of the agreement between Juventus and Motta have not been disclosed, it is clear that the Italian giants are keen to secure the services of the promising young coach.

Thiago Motta's coaching philosophy has been shaped by his experiences playing under renowned managers such as Marcelo Bielsa, Pep Guardiola, and Jose Mourinho. The former Barcelona, Inter Milan, and PSG midfielder has incorporated elements of their styles into his own approach, emphasising attacking football and collective trust among his players.

Prior to his success at Bologna, Motta had brief stints managing Genoa and Spezia in Serie A, where he began to make a name for himself as a tactically astute coach with a keen eye for developing young talent.

As Juventus look to rebuild and reclaim their position at the top of Italian football, the appointment of Thiago Motta could mark the beginning of a new era for the club. With his attacking philosophy, ability to develop young players, and fresh perspective, Motta may be the ideal candidate to lead Juventus back to glory.

However, Juventus are not the only club interested in securing Motta's services. The young coach has also been linked with the Manchester United job as a potential replacement for Erik ten Hag, adding an extra layer of intrigue to his future in the game.

With Juventus reportedly having reached an agreement with the Bologna coach, it appears that the Bianconeri are poised to embark on an exciting new chapter under his leadership.
