Dusan Vlahovic, who was in hot water for liking a Jude Bellingham Instagram post after Real Madrid delivered the knockout blow to Juventus at the FIFA Club World Cup, repeated the faux pas.
Vlahovic liked Rafael Leao’s Instagram post following AC Milan’s impressive 4-2 triumph over Premier League champions Liverpool in Hong Kong on Saturday.
His actions kicked off transfer speculation about reuniting with former Juventus manager Max Allegri at the San Siro, despite swiftly removing his like for Leao’s celebratory post.
Steep salary issue
Allegri held informal talks with the 25-year-old, but the drawback has been that the club are only willing to offer an annual salary of €7million (US$8.2m).
Ex-Fiorentina hot-shot Vlahovic is desperate to find a new European club after rejecting a contract extension on a lesser wage, with the Bianconeri eager to cash in as his deal expires next June.
The Serbia striker is Serie A’s highest earner on a staggering €12m (US$14.1m). He has rejected offers to play in the Saudi Pro League and Turkish Super Lig, with his goal to either compete in the Premier League or to stay in the Italian top tier.
No bites from Premier League
Vlahovic’s agent Darko Ristic was recently in talks with Premier League clubs, but there were no concrete offers tabled for Juve’s top scorer for the past three seasons.
He has turned his attention to meeting the Juventus hierarchy this week to discuss the uncertainty of his client’s future with the Turin titans.
Vlahovic is potentially being pushed out by the arrival of prolific goal poacher Jonathan David, with striker Kolo Muani on the club’s radar for a potential return on loan.
