Juventus secured an impressive 2-0 win over Manchester City on Wednesday night at Allianz Stadium. After a scoreless first half, the Old Lady secured two goals in the second half to secure all three points on Matchday 6 of the UEFA Champions League.
It was a tightly contested first 45 minutes as the two squads recorded three shots, but neither found the back of the net as the matchup went into halftime scoreless. Afterward, it would be Juventus who found their scoring boots.
Juventus took a 1-0 advantage after Kenan Yıldız connected with Dušan Vlahović to open the scoring in the 53rd minute off a header from very close range to the bottom right corner.
The Serie A side would take a 2-0 advantage when Timothy Weah connected with Weston McKennie in the 75th minute to score the insurance goal off a right-footed shot from the center of the box to the bottom left corner.

After the victory, McKennie spoke with the media and shared his thoughts on the impressive home win from Juventus.
"A beautiful evening; it was important to win this match after so many draws in the league," McKennie said (h/t Tutto Juve). "These three points against a strong team like City are very important to gain confidence and bring Juventus back to the top.
"This is a victory for the group, we talked about it yesterday: We need to do more, stay connected, win the duels, go up and down the pitch, that’s what makes it great to watch."
The victory has Juventus at 11 points and inside the top 24 to advance to the next stage of the Champions League.
