One of two renovating Premier League clubs could offer Juventus a helping hand by offloading a liability out of their squad.

Juventus have a reputation of bringing in some of the world’s most sought-after players into their roster as free agents. Dani Alves, Paul Pogba and Aaron Ramsey are amongst those who were brought into the Allianz Stadium without a single penny being spent on transfers and succeeded, but the same cannot be said about Adrien Rabiot.

More from Old Juve

Paris Saint-Germain and Rabiot failed to reach an agreement over his contract and in a series of dramatic events, which included the sacking of his mother from being an agent, the midfielder was isolated by the Ligue 1 giants who refused to allow him training with the senior team for a few months. Subsequently, the Serie A leaders picked him up.

Adrien Rabiot has been able to convince Maurizio Sarri, who has preferred playing most of his midfielders ahead of the Frenchman. Having said that, the 25-year-old is open to leaving Italy just one year upon his arrival. La Gazzetta dello Sport has reported that Premier League clubs Everton and Manchester United are interested in landing the player’s services.

Everton are planning to rebuild and make major increments to their squad with Carlo Ancelotti now at the helm. Amongst a string of other midfielders linked with the Toffees, Adrien Rabiot and Real Madrid’s James Rodriguez are in the forefront. While the Bianconeri may not charge a heavy fee for Rabiot, the Merseyside club may not be able to afford his wages.

Manchester United, on the other hand, are interested in signing a midfielder as they potentially risk losing Paul Pogba. The Old Lady of Turin is interested in landing its former players, so a swap deal including Adrien Rabiot is on the cards. With that said, the Red Devils are more likely to play in the European competitions than the Blues, making it a better transfer for the player.

Between the Goodison Park and Old Trafford, the latter is a much better place for Adrien Rabiot to play at all things considered. At the home of the 20-time Premier League champions, the former Manchester City academy player may improve incrementally over the next few years and fulfil his dream of playing for one of Barcelona and Real Madrid.

In addition to that, with a few more changes that the board now seems committed to make, Manchester United have a chance of winning domestic silverware so even in terms of being a decorated player, Rabiot would be successful on the red half of Manchester. From Juve’s perspective, involving the 25-year-old in a Pogba swap is a great way to save money as well.
