Manchester City and Juventus could be in for another massive swap deal after a switch of right-backs not a long time ago.

Juventus are expected to go in the summer’s transfer window with the signing of a striker in their minds. The Serie A leaders have Gonzalo Higuain at their disposal, but with the Argentina international catching up with age, it’s a no-brainer that they are keen on landing an out-and-out number nine for the later years.

More from Old Juve

Manchester City’s second-choice frontman Gabriel Jesus has been linked with a transfer to the Allianz Stadium of late. However, Pep Guardiola has seen the Brazil international as a successor to Sergio Aguero and been hesitant in letting Jesus go. According to Sport Illustrated, the former Bayern Munich boss may sell the player in exchange of Paulo Dybala.

For the Old Lady of Turin, this would be a fantastic deal since they would end up getting their hands on a young as well as experienced striker to employ as and when their current option fades away. With that said, there has never been a better time to offload Paulo Dybala than now for justifiable reasons.

As is known to most, Dybala was down with coronavirus for a long time and that may have certainly impacted his performance. The infection has been known to hinder a person’s cardiovascular abilities and it’s certain that the winger will not be able to perform at his fullest for a few months and  Juve may not benefit from the best of Dybala’s powers.

Gabriel Jesus on the other hand could seek a departure from the Etihad Stadium for two key reasons. One is obviously the lack of playing time he gets behind Sergio Aguero, and the second is the Citizens’ ban from the UEFA Champions League for two years. Should such a deal go through, Juventus will be beneficiaries in the shape of a player as well as funds.

Do you think the Copa America winner would be a successful player in Turin?
