Juventus make an even more ambitious request from Barcelona
Juventus are trying to sign Ansu Fati from Barcelona.
Juventus and Barcelona have been at the bargaining table over the past several weeks for a deal involving center midfielder Miralem Pjanic, who is no longer an ideal player in the center of the park for the Old Lady.

Pjanic would like to make the big move to Barcelona, while Juve will try to use Pjanic to acquire a star player from Barça.
Initially, they wanted young defensive midfielder Arthur Melo to add with Blaise Matuidi and Rodrigo Bentancur, but he seems entirely uninterested in a move to Turin.
Frenkie de Jong was also requested, but Barcelona were obviously not willing to part ways with the recently-signed star.
Now, RAI reports, via Forza Juventus on Twitter, that Juventus have resumed their pursuit of teenage star Ansu Fati from Barcelona.
Fati was one of Europe’s breakout stars last season, as the left winger scored four goals in fewer than 700 minutes last season.
He also added a Champions League goal for La Blaugrana.
Even more unsurprising than with de Jong, Barça are not willing to sell Fati to Juve.
The 17-year-old is one of the most valuable young players in the world and a future superstar for Barcelona. He could play a key role for La Blaugrana for years to come, as he has all the tools to rack up goal contributions as a scorer and provider on the wing. Players like Fati are rare to find, and the Spain international has global superstar potential.
It was worth it for Juve to “shoot their shot”, so to speak. But if Barcelona were already reluctant to part ways with Arthur after his strong season as a young midfielder, they can ill-afford to part ways with one of their only young, productive forwards.
For the Bianconeri, it’s back to the drawing board. But it looks like it won’t be easy for them to find a suitable player they can acquire in a swap deal for Pjanic. They may have to hope La Blaugrana can simply give them the right amount of cash.
