Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are talking over a grand switch of players.

Paulo Dybala is one of the Juventus players that has been in the news lately but more because of the coronavirus pandemic and lesser for footballing reasons. The Argentina international was down with the viral infection for a long time and had apparently tested positive for it along with his partner four times before finally making a recovery.

But this time out, the news regarding Dybala is due to his potential transfer away from Juve. The Bianconeri had initially deemed their forward unsaleable, however, they’ve decided to listen to offers worth 100 million euros in a later interpretation of their transfers. Calcio News has reported that Paris Saint-Germain are now interested in him.

Juventus had been interested in Mauro Icardi before the player completed a permanent transfer to PSG some days ago. The French champions are ready to sell their newest recruit if that means Dybala signs with them and are open for talks of a swap deal which would see them get their hands on the winger in exchange of the former Inter Milan man and some cash.

In a bid to stop their ex-striker from joining their arch-rivals in Turin, the Nerazzurri are thought to have added an ‘anti-Juve’ clause in their agreement with the Parisians. As per the condition, the Ligue 1 giants would have to pay an extra 15 million euros to the San Siro outfit should they decide to sell their new arrival to the Old Lady of Turin.

While otherwise getting rid of Dybala may have been a questionable move, it makes sense this time out since the need for a striker is grave at the Allianz Stadium. If Gonzalo Higuain departs, there would be no reliable central forward post-summer. Moreover, Dybala may not be at his best of footballing abilities considering the physical loss caused by him suffering from COVID-19.

Dybala being offloaded could come as a step back for Juve since they would lose out on an incredible winger, but this is unlikely to have a long-term impact since the club can always open its wallet in the transfer market if need be. However, the board’s primary objective right now seems to be securing a sought-after midfield for shooting towards European glory.
