Juventus could be making a big mistake this summer.

Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey arrived on a free transfer into Italy from Arsenal last summer. The 29-year-old has been in and out of the team, but despite having a few opportunities as compared what he may have initially expected, the midfielder has done a great job and been at the end of some important goals and assists.

More from Old Juve

Aaron Ramsey is paid a whopping wage of 7 million euros annually which for the Bianconeri is a grand sum and more so considering the fact that they have Cristiano Ronaldo to pay, who earns 30 million euros per season. As a result of the coronavirus pandemic, the club has to cut costs and the Wales international has been identified as a player they could potentially offload.

Calcio Mercato has reported that Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur is interested in landing the player on a loan move and are ready to pay his entire wage. Jose Mourinho is looking to add firepower to his squad and Aaron Ramsey, who contributes on both ends of the field is tipped to be a stunning addition to the Italian giants’ roster.

Getting rid of Ramsey could be a financially-wise choice for the Serie A leaders, but it is a costly step given the fact that there are not many box-to-box midfielders in their squad. Besides that, the Welshman offers great versatility as he is comfortable occupying advanced roles in the final third too and promises a big number of goal involvements if used in an attacking setup.

Maurizio Sarri is mostly set to welcome Arthur Melo from Barcelona this summer for much-needed creativity in the engine room but questions certainly need to be raised about the former Chelsea boss who’s not done much of a difference in Turin, and a Champions League debacle could spell the end on his future.
