Cristiano Ronaldo has been far from his best since the return of football.

Juventus grabbed a win at Bologna as they continued leading Serie A thanks to a 2-0 success, courtesy of goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala. After two outings without a goal and winless fixtures against AC Milan and Napoli, it was imperative that they get off and running before the media’s blunt got any severe on them.

More from Old Juve

Cristiano Ronaldo was the bearer of the spotlight over the last couple of weeks as his penalty miss versus Milan was quickly slandered by the pundits and fans. Not too many days later, the Portugal international faced a lot of harsh behaviour for not stepping up to take a penalty when the Bianconeri eventually lost the Coppa Italia.

But finally, the former Real Madrid marksman did make the headlines for the better side of football as his goal on Monday evening was practically a winner. Despite burying his penalty and coming close to a really good goal, the 35 year old was far from his best and has now had his share of quarrels with Maurizio Sarri, Tutto Juve has reported.

Ronaldo is not happy with his positioning on the pitch and has been vocal with his manager about the same. The ex-Chelsea coach was not too welcoming of the criticism to his practices and was not too impressed by the forward trying to dictate the tactical matters. Moreover, the Portuguese isn’t feeling welcomed as he would by former managers.

Carlo Ancelotti and Zinedine Zidane would hear him out more often than not and Cristiano Ronaldo was frankly a pampered personality at the Santiago Bernabeu. With that being said, he was at his best ever during the second-half of his Madrid tenure and transformed himself into a deadly goal-scorer and Juve are demanding a reversal in roles, which is close to impossible.

Do you think Sarri is the right manager for the Italian giants to have?
