Juventus took care of business on the road against Genoa with a 3-1 win.

Paulo Dybala, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Douglas Costa all found the back of the net, as Juventus’ best attacking players put on a show with three excellent goals in the second half of their Tuesday night match at Genoa. Although Genoa pulled one back, Juve looked impressive heading into this weekend’s derby match with Torino.

Here are the match ratings for Juve’s third straight Serie A victory since the restart.

GK Wojciech Szczesny

Wojciech Szczesny could do nothing for Andrea Pinamonti’s well-taken goal from close range, as the Genoa star fired the ball past the keeper at the near post with venom. He was only tested one other time when he had to come out of the goal to cover for Aaron Ramsey’s mistake.

Rating: 6.0 out of 10

LB Danilo

Danilo did not have to do much of anything defensively against Genoa, and since he’s a right back by trade, that’s honestly a good thing. He’s a quality emergency backup to have around on the left side and didn’t put a foot wrong in this win.

Rating: 6.0 out of 10

CB Leonardo Bonucci

Another quality performance from Leonardo Bonucci, who read the game well and always looked to provide a long pass to move the attack forward.

Rating: 6.5 out of 10

More from Old Juve

CB Matthijs de Ligt

Once again, Matthijs de Ligt was one of the most impressive players on the pitch for Juventus. He could do nothing about the goal Pinamonti scored for the home side, though he did try to desperately lunge for the block.

The Dutch center back’s positioning was impeccable, often baiting offsides. And his covering was even better; he was always there to stop counterattacks before they could happen.

Rating: 7.5 out of 10

RB Juan Cuadrado

According to WhoScored.com, Juan Cuadrado led the Bianconeri with four tackles and four interceptions, which has as much to do with his relentless pressing in the attacking third to win the ball back for his team than anything else.

There’s more than one way to defend. Offensively, Cuadrado was incredibly dangerous, sending in teasing crosses and constantly posing a threat when facing up defenders with the ball. He remains a highly underrated player.

Rating: 8.0 out of 10

CM Adrien Rabiot

This is the best Adrien Rabiot has looked since the restart, and he may prove to Maurizio Sarri that he has a future with the team beyond 2019-2020 in spite of the transfer rumors. Rabiot recycled the ball in the attacking third and made clean passes, drawing three fouls before being subbed off.

Rating: 6.5 out of 10

CM Miralem Pjanic

Miralem Pjanic also left the game in the second half, but he posted a second straight quality performance in the middle of the park for the Old Lady. He completed 92.4 percent of his 92 pass attempts, contributing greatly to Juve’s impressive dominance of midfield. Pjanic was always finding the open man and directing traffic, linking up well with Paulo Dybala and Juan Cuadrado on the right side.

Rating: 7.5 out of 10

CM Rodrigo Bentancur

The Bianconeri have been mostly outshining weaker competition, so they will need better defending and more disciplined attacking from Rodrigo Bentancur against stronger opponents. Still, he worked hard and always looked to make something happen on the ball.

Rating: 6.0 out of 10

LW Cristiano Ronaldo

This is the best Cristiano Ronaldo has looked since the restart. The Portuguese superstar scored a goal with two assists against Lecce, but he was even more dangerous against Genoa. Ronaldo tested star keeper Mattia Perin several times, finally scoring with an absolutely lovely shot from beyond the center of the box that he was clearly looking for. Genoa simply had no answers for him when he was bearing down on goal.

Rating: 7.5 out of 10

CF Paulo Dybala

Another royal performance from La Joya. Paulo Dybala scored the opener again, lifting Juve’s spirits in the second half with his goal, which was the result of some more inventive dribbling. No player on the Bianconeri matched Dybala’s four key passes. Dybala deserves the highest order of praise for his heroic performances since the restart.

Rating: 8.5 out of 10

David Alaba could be an excellent signing. dark. Next

RW Federico Bernardeschi

Federico Bernardeschi was excellent in Juve’s first Serie A game of the restart at Bologna, but he’s struggled since then. The Italian wide forward was lacking in end product in this match, and this has to be considered another inconsistent display from the 26-year-old. His future with the Bianconeri is up in the air.
