Juventus and Inter Milan will both be on the hunt for a striker.

Juventus are keen on landing a striker this summer as Gonzalo Higuain continues to enter the dusk of his career. The Argentine marksman could be offloaded in all likelihood after the season’s end due to his age and occupancy of a hefty wage sum. However, Maurizio Sarri has asked for a quality striker to be recruited before that.

More from Old Juve

Manchester City superstar Gabriel Jesus is on the Bianconeri’s radar as they plot a move for Pep Guardiola’s out of favour forward, Calcio Mercato reports. The Brazil international has largely been confined as a second choice to Sergio Aguero at the Etihad Stadium and wants to leave in search of regular playing time given he is only 23.

Jesus is also wanted by Inter Milan, who seem set to lose Lautaro Martinez to Barcelona in the near future. With that in mind, the club is willing to significantly invest on the Citizen considering that they will be cash in on nearly 100 million euros from the Catalans. However, Turin could be a more attractive destination for him.

An enticing transfer battle in store.

Sarri’s men are aspiring to go ten years winning the Serie A title and it looks like they practically have the ninth Scudetto on the trot in their bag. Next year could be a challenging one given Inter Milan’s resilient form and the likes of Atalanta, Lazio, Milan and Napoli picking up pace in the latter part of this season to spring surprising results.

The Premier League giants have made it clear that they’ll be letting their striker walk this summer if there’s significant interest from clubs and have demanded 63 million euros. With the price tag not being all that steep for either the Old Lady or the Nerazzurri, it’ll be interesting how the transfer race pans out in the coming days.
