CM Blaise Matuidi

Blaise Matuidi is Mr. Consistent for Juventus, and he had a decent performance against Sampdoria on Sunday. Nothing about Matuidi’s attacking blew people away, but he worked hard to get up the field and put in a couple of teasing balls into the box. Defensively, Matuidi won two tackles. He also completed nearly 95 percent of his passes. Essentially, the French midfielder did what he needed to do to support his teammates.

CM Miralem Pjanic

Miralem Pjanic made way for Rodrigo Bentancur in the second half, but before he was substituted, he made a profound impact on the game for the Bianconeri. It was Pjanic who assisted the first goal, pulling off the initial pass on the trick free kick perfectly, so he got the assist for Cristiano Ronaldo’s opener. Pjanic attempted 84 passes, completing over 90 percent of them. More importantly, he led the team with four key passes. The Barcelona-bound regista deserves a round of applause for a strong game.

CM Adrien Rabiot

Adrien Rabiot continues to show why he deserves more time at Juventus, though his strong performances since Serie A’s return have likely caught the eye of Manchester United. The French center midfielder drew two yellow cards to set up dangerous free kicks, including the one that led to Ronaldo’s opener. Rabiot’s dribbling and attacking intent have been tremendous lately, and he could have even taken a short on target on one run instead of unselfishly setting up CR7. He drew two fouls and led the team with two dribbles completed in another good performance.
