CM Simone Muratore

Juventus decided to give Simone Muratore a start and some valuable playing time against Cagliari over much better and more experienced midfielders like Blaise Matuidi and Adrien Rabiot. At around the hour mark, Muratore left the pitch for Matuidi, having accomplished absolutely nothing. Muratore has already been sold to Atlanta and will accomplish much more there than he has in Turin, but it was a quizzical decision to give an outbound player minutes when he isn’t even capable of playing at a high level.

Rating: 5.5 out of 10

CM Miralem Pjanic

The regista came relatively close to scoring on a late first-half free kick, but this wasn’t a fine final performance in Serie A from Miralem Pjanic. He had a minimal influence on the game offensively, failing to provide any truly incisive passes, which is where he usually thrives. An off game from the deep playmaker.

Rating: 5.0 out of 10

CM Rodrigo Bentancur

Once again, Rodrigo Bentancur is one of the only players who can hold his head high after the 2-0 loss to Cagliari. He never looked dangerous, but he never stopped working either. Bentancur had four key passes and three dribbles completed on the offensive end with a tackle defensively. His passing was accurate, too, as he completed 91.5 percent of his attempts. Bentancur is a key part of the future for Juve, so at least he did decently well.
