Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo wants his current club to reunite him with Karim Benzema, but he shouldn’t get his hopes up.

It’s that time of year again where we get bored and start wondering if Cristiano Ronaldo could make a move. He seems to be quite happy at Juventus and should benefit from the coaching change to Andrea Pirlo, but the PSG rumors are swirling, as unrealistic as they may be.

The Juventini should anticipate Ronaldo staying in Turin for at least the 2020-2021 season. We can say what we want about Ronaldo, but it’s clear that he is an ambitious person who is intent on winning everything. So for him, the challenge appears to be winning the Champions League at Juventus before his time in Italy is up.

And he wants to reunite with a familiar face to do it, according to an exclusive from Alfredo Pedulla. The journalist reports that Ronaldo has asked Juventus to try and sign Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema, who is coming off an excellent season for Los Blancos in which he carried the attack and was the most important player in La Liga.

Juve are looking for a new striker with Gonzalo Higuain set to leave. Arkadiusz Milik and Alexandre Lacazette are the most likely options, so Benzema isn’t just a dream option; he is the dreamiest of dream options.

Juventus have no chance at Karim Benzema

There’s basically no way this deal happens. As Pedulla mentions, Real have given Benzema a whopping billion euro release clause, which is symbolic of his importance at the club both as a player and leader for the youth. Benzema has played a role in the development of Vinicius Junior and Rodrgyo Goes, who are the future of the Whites.

As for the Black and Whites, they could do great things with Benzema, who would be a perfect fit for both Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala, assuming the transfer rumors about him aren’t true.

But while Benzema and Ronaldo would form a lethal connection in Turin, there’s no way Real Madrid sells. The ball is in their court. And as much as Benz would probably love to play with Ronaldo again and pursue a Champions League trophy with the Old Lady, Benzema’s love for Real is even greater.

Ronaldo has reportedly asked, and it never hurts to ask. Juventus, to their credit, seem to be willing to make an attempt. However, there’s really nothing to see here. This transfer is even less likely than Dybala to Madrid.
