Juventus have been pursuing Fiorentina winger Federico Chiesa. Here is what they are prepared to offer prior to the transfer deadline.

Although Juventus may not need to sign another forward with Dejan Kulusevski joining the squad and Alvaro Morata acquired on loan at the striker position, they are showing serious interest in Fiorentina’s Federico Chiesa.

Both Juve and Milan would like to sign the versatile 22-year-old wide forward, who could play on the left or the right for the Bianconeri. But it looks like Juve are the favorites to land the Fiorentina man’s signature.

According to a report from La Repubblica, Juventus are prepared to offer a two-year loan deal for Federico Chiesa with an option to buy. The Bianconeri would pay 20 million euros for the loan and then 40 million euros to purchase him after two years. So in total, they would pay 60 million euros for Chiesa.

Fiorentina will ask for a lot from Juventus if they want Federico Chiesa

He is expensive, and Fiorentina are driving a hard bargain. But he also has a world of potential due to his age and athletic ability. Chiesa is one of the few players in Serie A who could become a superstar winger in the next five years, and that’s why the Bianconeri are so keen on signing him.

Juventus could raise some funds by selling Douglas Costa and Daniele Rugani, who have both been linked to Manchester City. But they don’t have much cash right now, which is probably why they want to kick back a purchase option for Chiesa until after a two-year loan spell.

We’ll see if Fiorentina will take the potential to make extra money over the risk of losing Chiesa for two years and getting 20 million euros out of it without guaranteed cash now. The negotiations with Fiorentina have been delicate and ongoing, but it’s unlikely they will get a better offer from anyone other than Juventus, especially if the player wants to stay in Serie A.
