Juventus: How much would Chelsea pay to try and steal away Paulo Dybala?
Juventus star forward Paulo Dybala is in transfer rumors again, as it’s unclear when he will sign a contract extension with the Bianconeri.
Paulo Dybala is the future of Juventus. The 26-year-old was Serie A’s MVP last season, scoring 11 goals with six assists and doing his best to be a playmaker to help Cristiano Ronaldo exceed 30 goals in the 2019-2020 season. In his last season with Juve before Ronaldo’s arrival, Dybala scored 22 times for the Black and Whites.
La Joya should be re-signed for years to come, but Juventus and Dybala haven’t agreed to an extension yet. Therefore, there are rumors about his future in Turin, including links to other big clubs.
Earlier this year, Dybala was mentioned as a possible target for Real Madrid in a swap with Isco, but that never really made sense.
Now, Tuttosport is reporting, via Football-Italia.net, that Chelsea are in the lead to sign Paulo Dybala and are monitoring the Juventus forward, should the Bianconeri fail to sign the player to a long-term deal. According to the report from Tuttosport, Chelsea would offer Juventus a transfer fee between 80 and 100 million euros to sign Dybala.
Would Paulo Dybala even leave Juventus for Chelsea?
It’s so hard to see Dybala leaving, but it’s not impossible. And Chelsea are an ambitious club, though the fit is questionable since they just spent big money on Hakim Ziyech, Kai Havertz, and Timo Werner this year.
The transfer fee is reasonable due to the current economic environment, but Juve should feel that 80-100 million euros is too low for a man who is arguably the impact player in Serie A. Dybala can do things that few players in the world can, when examining his dribbling ability and finishing. He can play at any of the three forward positions and is capable of changing the game in an instant.
Be on the lookout for more Dybala rumors, because they will swirl until both club and player put pen to paper on a deal.
