Juventus will face Spezia on Serie A’s Matchday 25 at the Juventus Stadium, and they are looking to get back in the win column after a struggle over the weekend, drawing 1-1 with Hellas Verona for the second time in 2020-2021.

The Bianconeri continue to be hurt by injuries and illness, but they will have to claim all three points against Spezia, especially if they want to keep up in the title race.

Here are five key players to watch on both teams.

Juventus LM Federico Benardeschi

Federico Bernardeschi was horrible against Verona, but he’ll get the start again because Juve simply do not have any other options on the left-hand side of the attack. We know Bernardeschi can give more, but his career in Turin has honestly been a disaster. Each passing game, Bernardeschi fails to change the minds of disappointed Juventini. If he struggles against Spezia, Juve could be in a situation where an entire side of the pitch is out of the equation.

Spezia CB Julian Chabot

According to Sky Sport Italia, Spezia are expected to be without their best defender, Simone Bastoni. Center back Julian Chabot has 2.2 tackles per game and 1.6 interceptions per game, according to WhoScored.com, and the 23-year-old will now be Spezia’s top man in defense. He’s the guy to watch when Cristiano Ronaldo and Dejan Kulusevski try to find space and shooting angles in the final third.

More from Old Juve

Juventus CM Aaron Ramsey

Aaron Ramsey is expected to get another start against Spezia, and he’s going to be the X-Factor for the Bianconeri. Juve need the Wales international to find the killer passes, create chances, and avoid fading out of the match. He’s been an asset to the Bianconeri in 2020-2021, but he’s also been inconsistent at times. Ramsey had two key passes against Verona but could have been better, and he had five key passes in the 3-0 win over Crotone. Hopefully, Juventini see the latter version of Ramsey on Tuesday night at the Juventus Stadium.

Spezia ST M’Bala Nzola

The clear star man for Spezia, M’Bala Nzola will get the start up top for the underdogs. Nzola has scored nine goals with one assist this season, and Juve must make sure to keep him quiet. They cannot give him space and cannot forget about him for an instant on a set piece or counter. He must always be accounted for in the penalty box. The 24-year-old Angolan international has 1.2 key passes per game to boot, so his creation will be of concern to the Old Lady as well.

Juventus FW Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo has 19 goals and three assists in the 2020-2021 Serie A campaign thus far, and every match is crucial for him in the Capocannoniere race. It won’t be easy for him to take down Romelu Lukaku, who is in a battle with CR7 for the honor of being regarded as the best player currently in Italian football. Ronaldo struck twice against Crotone and once at Verona, so he’s in good form. But you get the feeling we haven’t seen his true best in weeks. Maybe he will make a statement vs. Spezia, whom he put two past in an injury return off the bench to start November.
