#1 Hakan Çalhanoğlu

The 27-year-old creative midfielder will be the one looking to penetrate Juventus midfield and defence with line-breaking passes on Sunday. His crosses from the set-pieces and open-play plus cunning interchanges with other forwards could be the way AC Milan would be looking to breach the Juventus defence. And being a midfielder himself, Pirlo should be aware of the threat the Turkey international could bring in with his individual traits.

Born in Germany, Hakan Çalhanoğlu has been in superb form for Milan this season, scoring 9 goals and making 11 assists in 39 games. With his contract expiring at Milan this summer, there is an obvious reason why he will be targetting this game against Juventus as a decider of his future in Italy. Making an impact here could earn him a contract renewal before the end of the campaign.

Playing the no. 10 role for Stefano Pioli’s men, he has an immaculate knack for scoring goals from distance. Henceforth, the likes of Rodrigo Bentancur and Adrien Rabiot will have to be extra careful. Çalhanoğlu has scored two goals in his last three games in Serie A.

The form is by the Turkish international’s side. And owing to the fact that he is one of the most underrated players in world football, teams sometimes underestimate his attributes. It would be better for Juventus to do some homework as to how they could stop the deliveries arriving from his skilful legs beforehand.
