LM Federico Chiesa

Andrea Pirlo took Federico Chiesa off in the second half, as he surprisingly couldn’t make a real impact on this game. Aside from one nice aerial set-up for Dejan Kulusevski, Chiesa was on the fringes of the match.

Rating: 5.5

CM Adrien Rabiot

Adrien Rabiot was excellent and one of the best players on the pitch for Juventus. The Bianconeri needed him to step up his intensity against the Scudetto winners, and that’s exactly what the French international did. Between his great performance against Sassuolo and this display in the derby, Rabiot is really stating his case to stay. He was awesome defensively.

Rating: 7.5

CM Rodrigo Bentancur

Rodrigo Bentancur would have been scapegoated by some if Juve lost, but he was terribly unlucky to have received a second yellow card. I have a hard time seeing how that was worth a booking. Before that, he wasn’t influential on the match, but he honestly wasn’t terrible either. Still, you can see why Juventini don’t feel confident in him being a starter.

Rating: 5.0

RM Juan Cuadrado

Juan Cuadrado was right there with Matthijs de Ligt as a Man of the Match candidate for Juve, and he is the ultimate winner since his two goals were so necessary for the Bianconeri. His first was another rocket outside the box against Inter, and the second was a clutch penalty conversion that he won. The Colombian has been vital to Juve this season, and hopefully this performance earns him the praise he deserves.
