Achraf Hakimi (RB)

Inter Milan signed Achraf Hakimi in the last summer transfer window for €40 million, which now seems to be a bargain. Racking up 7 goals and 8 assists from 37 Serie A games this term, Hakimi completely lived up to the expectations of his coach and the supporters of the club.

The Moroccan professional was a fundamental part of Conte’s Inter side, galloping down the right side and providing the team with an extra body in the attack and as well as in the defence. And even though he played as an out-and-out right wing-back for the Nerazzurri all season, he was so good that we didn’t even take a moment before putting him in the team of the season.

If you have noticed keenly, both Gosens and Hakimi belong to that captivating genre of wing-backs in Serie A. Yet, their superb performances for their respective clubs have propelled us to pick them over any natural full-back. Operating as the left wing-back for Gian Piero Gasperini’s Atalanta, Gosens had an absolutely outstanding season.

As far as his seasonal stats are concerned, Robin Gosens amassed 11 goals and 6 assists from 32 matches. He worked hard and deservedly got the chance to show his overwhelming traits for the German side in the upcoming European Championship.

The 26-year-old has also been linked with a summer move to Juventus. The Bianconeri will have to pay a substantial fee if they are to bring in Gonsens, who has turned himself into a reliable member of the Bergamo-based club.
