You know his name and his traits. He is Luca Pellegrini, signed from AS Roma in a deal involving Leonardo Spinazzola and some hard cash in the summer transfer window of 2019.
The young, long-haired Pellegrini has now grown 22. Spending his 2020/21 season in the colours of Genoa, Pellegrini has now matured gradually, if not fully.
At the capital of northwest Italy’s Liguria region, he was afforded 11 appearances last campaign. Following his loan spell, Pellegrini has already returned to Juventus. Now, the club might make full use of the youngster’s developed qualities.
While it is unlikely that Juve will have any funds left to complete the signing of a left-back after the acquisition of Manuel Locatelli, Pellegrini’s return from the loan could be a blessing in disguise for la Vecchia Signora.
