#2 Mattia De Sciglio

Much has already been written about Mattia De Sciglio and his future at the Piedmontese club. Playing his club football in Lyon on loan last season, De Sciglio returned to Turin earlier this summer. Juventini want to get rid of him in this transfer window, and for obvious reasons. But a darling to Allegri, De Sciglio would certainly be given the opportunities to prove his doubters wrong before Juve decide to go down the lane of a summer departure.

Here comes his opportunity against Monza. If reports hovering in the air are believed to be true, De Sciglio is expected to play as a right-back on Saturday. Naturally right-footed, the 28-year-old Italian would get adequate chances to put in crosses inside the box and show the world how much he has improved attack-wise since he left Juventus for a season-long loan spell last summer.

Considering that aspect, it could be a make-or-break game for Mattia De Sciglio. One between him and Luca Pelligrini is reported to be staying beyond the summer transfer period. The game against Monza will be De Sciglio’s turn to firm his claim on the sport for Alex Sandro’s cover. The job of catching the eyes of the manager would be much easier for the right-back, with Luca Pelligrini possibly showing his mettle on the other side. De Sciglio will have to put in a better performance than the youngster.
