#1 Aaron Ramsey — His Juventus’ future somehow hinges on this game

We all want to know what the future holds for Aaron Ramsey at Juventus. Ravaged by numerous injury issues, the Wales international had an underwhelming 2020/21 season, with the midfielder amassing only 1,543 minutes of football and recording two goals and five assists for the Bianconeri across all competitions. His inconsistency is what Juventus would want to avoid going into the next campaign.

Is that true? Or are we being ignorant of the fact that he still has what it needs to become a top midfielder in Serie A? We shall see. Max Allegri, as reported this morning, will field Aaron Ramsey in the midfield. Ramsey has already been considered surplus to Allegri’s requirements. What he will be getting from now on could be deemed as blessings in disguise.

Against Giovanni Stroppa’s Monza, the 30-year-old should be running the midfield, dictating the pace on the field. If Juventus manage to sign Manuel Locatelli from Sassuolo, the pathway to the first team would be much bumpier for Ramsey.

However, a good game today would help him build momentum and fix his case before his manager. It is all about staying in the contention and remaining as high as one could in the pecking order.
