Juventus are not expected to make any more signings on Deadline Day and are happy with Moise Kean as their final addition this summer.

The Bianconeri had been touted with having a busy end to the Mercato, as deals for Miralem Pjanic and Axel Witsel looked possible. However, various reports suggest the club are done for the summer in terms of incomings and will continue the 2021/22 campaign with Kaio Jorge, Manuel Locatelli, Mohamed Ihattaren (who’s being loaned to Sampdoria for the season) and Kean as their only new arrivals.

Juventus completed Kean’s return on Tuesday morning after agreeing a deal with Everton over the weekend following Cristiano Ronaldo’s stunning departure from the club.

No more moves

Fabrizio Romano understands that Juve are “not planning any move for Miralem Pjanic, Axel Witsel, Eden Hazard or any other player” on the final day of the transfer window.

A move for Hazard, by the way, was never a possibility and a mere fantasy rumour that cropped up once or twice in the Spanish media. However, a move for either Pjanic or Witsel seemed likely with Massimiliano Allegri keen on further bolstering his midfield.

Pjanic’s desire to return to Turin has been well-documented and it appeared for some time that the Bianconeri were happy to facilitate a return. Talks have persisted throughout the summer with the Bosnian’s entourage but Juventus have finally decided against the move.

Romeo Agresti understands that the club made their decision regarding Pjanic on Monday night and will not change their mind.

Discussions over a move for Borussia Dortmund’s Witsel, meanwhile, seemingly went stale despite some reports suggesting that the Belgian was Juve’s priority target over Pjanic.

Youngsters secure loans

It’s been a busy day so far in terms of outgoings, however. After Manchester United confirmed the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo, a succession of Juventus youngsters secured loan moves away from Turin.

Filippo Ranocchia has joined Vicenza, Nicolo Fagioli has signed for Cremonese, while Radu Dragusin is staying in Serie A but not with Cagliari, which was widely expected. Instead, the young defender has secured a loan move to Sampdoria. Filippo Delli Carri’s also staying in the top division with Salernitana.

Luca Pellegrini, meanwhile, is expected to stay at the club despite interest from West Ham. The dynamic left-back will fight with Mattia De Sciglio and first choice Alex Sandro for a spot in Allegri’s XI this season.
