Versatile Marseille midfielder Boubacar Kamara has been added to the list of Juventus midfield targets, per reports.

The Bianconeri are said to be in the market for a midfielder in January with the club willing to let the likes of Aaron Ramsey and Adrien Rabiot depart. The club brought in Sassuolo star Manuel Locatelli in the summer and have seen impressive runs of form from both Rodrigo Bentancur and Weston McKennie this season, but remain keen on bolstering their midfield ranks.

Various reports have identified several targets for the Bianconeri. Their interest in Monaco starlet Aurélien Tchouaméni is well-documented but the Frenchman’s price tag could deter a financially stricken Juve from making a January move.

Borussia Dortmund’s Axel Witsel was strongly linked in the summer, as was Bayern Munich’s Corentin Tolisso, but these rumours have cooled somewhat. Denis Zakaria has also been mentioned with Juve scouts reportedly watching the Switzerland midfielder in their 1-1 draw with Italy on Friday night.

It’s clear that Juventus are attempting to find a cheap and astute option to provide depth to their midfield. The contracts of Witsel, Tolisso and Zakaria all expire at the end of the 2021/22 season meaning they’ll be available for free next summer.

Another player who looks set to be a free agent in a few months time is Marseille’s Boubacar Kamara. The Frenchman came close to securing a move to Newcastle United in the summer before opting to stay in southern France.

According to Calciomercato.com, Kamara is being tracked by Juventus and he could be an option for the Bianconeri next year.

The 21-year-old has continued to shine in Ligue 1 this term and he’s been exclusively deployed by new Marseille boss Jorge Sampaoli as a holding midfielder. He’s also capable of filling in at centre-back and is regarded as one of the finest prospects that France has to offer.
