The Turin titans are biting at the bit to strengthen their squad, with sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli’s summer shopping list showcasing both bargain buys and potential expensive acquisitions.

Juventus could be tempted to revisit making an offer to Bologna for their Switzerland winger Dan Ndoye, who bagged the only goal in this month’s Coppa Italia final against AC Milan. He has also scored eight Serie A goals in 29 appearances this season.

The 24-year-old was signed by Motta, when he was Bologna manager, from Basel in August 2023. Although Motta explored bringing Ndoye with him to Juve, the Bianconeri instead introduced right winger Francisco Conceicao on loan from FC Porto.

Portuguese ace Conceicao excelled under the new Juve boss, but has fallen down the pecking order since interim manager Igor Tudor took over in late March. Although he did get a rare starting berth last weekend against Udinese, but that was down to a combination of injuries and suspensions.

Straight swap

With Conceicao expected to return to his parent club after the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup tournament, this leaves a void on the right wing with Ndoye considered to be an upgrade.

While Juve are actively searching for left wingers, as Turkish talent Kenan Yildiz is the only recognised left winger in their current squad, Noye’s ability to play on either wing makes him a prime target for the club.

Although he favors playing on the right flank, the attack-minded Noye is similar to Yildiz. Juventus should be a force to be reckoned with in Serie A if they played those two on each wing behind a target man.

Bologna have placed a price tag of €30 million (US$34m) on their prized asset, although Juve would only invest in Ndoye if they secure a top four finish to qualify for next season’s lucrative Champions League.

Six appeal

There could be a bidding war for Noye, who has two seasons left on his contract, with AC Milan, Inter Milan, Juventus, Liverpool, Manchester United and Napoli monitoring his availability.

Former Juve boss Antonio Conte, who is on the verge of lifting the Scudetto in his maiden season at Napoli, tried to prise Ndoye to the Serie A leaders to replace Kvicha Kvaratskhelia in the January transfer window.

There’s been recent speculation in the Italian sports press that Conte could tear up his contract at Napoli and return to Juve in the summer.

That scenario would rely on the Bianconeri being involved in the Champions League, and if back in Turin then the ex-Italy boss is very likely to push for the signature of free-scoring Ndoye.
