Dusan Vlahovic interests Aston Villa and Inter Milan

Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic has been touted for a summer move since the start of the year, with two more clubs targeting the Serbia international.

Having only started two matches in 2025, Vlahovic suddenly seems back in favour with under pressure head coach Thiago Motta.

The 25-year-old was Juve’s hero with a spectacular strike to seal a stuttering 1-0 success in Sardinia over struggling Cagliari.

He followed that fantastic display with a nightmare game, missing gilt-edged chances to score during the 1-1 Coppa Italia quarter-final defeat to visiting Empoli.

Vlahovic then skied his spot-kick over the target when it came to the lottery of a penalty shootout, with the defending champions booed off the pitch after suffering a 4-2 defeat on penalties.

Nothing materialised during the recent winter transfer window, when Arsenal and Chelsea showed keen interest. His high price tag of €80 million (US$83m) and salary demands deterred a serious bid from the pair of Premier League clubs.

Serie A's highest paid player

Vlahovic is the highest earner in Serie A, reportedly earning €12m (US$12.45m) a year. There was genuine interest from the Saudi Pro League and Jose Mourinho’s Turkish Super Lig club Fenerbahce, but he preferred other European destinations.

He was also offered to endless European teams, including Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Dortmund, Olympique de Marseille and Newcastle United.

Two clubs have now just entered the equation, both tracking his availability as his transfer fee has plummeted by €20m (US$20.75m) due to being benched by Motta.

Vlahovic’s contract with Juve expires in summer 2026, with negotiations over an extension yet to be discussed.

Now he is getting minutes at the Bianconeri, Milan and Villa could battle it out to secure his signature although both clubs are also keeping an eye on Lille’s hot-shot striker Jonathan David.

Juve's top scorer this season

Vlahovic has bagged 55 goals in 133 Juventus appearances since arriving from Fiorentina three years ago, and is the club’s top scorer this season.

The Nerazzurri would consider signing Vlahovic as a replacement for Marcus Thuram, who is on the wishlist of Paris Saint-Germain and could leave the San Siro Stadium in the summer for a price around €85m (US$88.2m).

Colombian striker Jhon Duran went to Saudi Pro League during the January transfer window, leaving Villa with a gap in their ranks.

The Villains have Manchester United outcast Marcus Rashford on loan until the end of the season, with the option to buy. Yet the former England attacker has yet to impress head coach Unai Emery, and the physical presence of Vlahovic would perhaps be a better fit.

Vlahovic may opt to stay at Juventus if Project Motta comes crashing down, as there are three serious contenders to replace Motta before the club tackles the FIFA 2025 Club World Cup in June and July.
