Although Juve remain unbeaten this campaign, in both league and Champions League action, a run of five draws on the bounce has started to worry fans, players and pundits.

Head coach Igor Tudor seems determined to never veer from his 3-4-2-1 formation, which has resulted in a handful of sackings, as well as make what appear to be aimless and chaotic second-half substitutions.

The Bianconeri managed to keep a rare clean sheet at home to AC Milan, courtesy of a missed spot-kick by US star Christian Pulisic. Yet Tudor and his troops were jeered off the pitch as they slipped down the Serie A table to fifth ahead of the international break.

Dilemma for Juventus strikers

Juve’s squad is lightweight in defense and midfield, while Tudor has yet to devise a formula to deal with the conundrum of trying to appease a trio of center forwards.

Not all of Juve’s summer signings have lived up to their billing, especially strikers Jonathan David and Lois Openda who have only scored one goal between them this term.

Joao Mario, who can play at right-back or as a winger, joined Juventus from FC Porto but has not convinced Tudor enough to become a regular starter.

Pierre Kalulu has recently been utilized down the right flank with little success, which has caused a problem overall as the Bianconeri then lose a pivotal center-back.

The club are exploring landing a former Arsenal academy product, who is currently plying his trade in Serie A, to compete with 25-year-old Mario for a wing-back role next year.

Norton-Cuffy switched Arsenal for Genoa

London-born Brooke Norton-Cuffy was constantly loaned out by the Premier League side before joining Genoa for €1 million (US$1.2m) last year.

His Serie A season went smoothly, establishing himself as a key figure for head coach Patrick Vieira who has started the 21-year-old in all six Serie A games this season.

Norton-Cuffy, who lifted the 2024 European Championship with England U21, is a former pupil of Genoa’s sporting director Marco Ottolini who is touted to be joining the Turin titans before Christmas.

Tudor's time at Juventus is looking seriously shaky, but with new faces to bolster the squad during the winter transfer window there should be a new lease of life.

Yet daunting trips to Como and Real Madrid follow the international break, which should Juve slip up will increase the pressure on Tudor's shoulders.
