Recent form

After two wins and a draw in the hot seat, Igor Tudor surprisingly tasted his maiden defeat as Juventus interim head coach in his last outing.

Their shock loss leaves the Bianconeri just outside the top four in the table, which guarantees a place in next season's Champions League with five games remaining.

At the other end of the table, rock bottom Monza could be relegated to Serie B regardless of their result in Turin. Their last victory was in mid-January, which was only their second triumph this term.

Head-to-head

Following reversals in their opening couple of Serie A showdowns to Monza, Juve have picked up three wins against them.

Monza were the last team that propped up the table to defeat Juventus. The Brianzoli's 1-0 home win over the Bianconeri in 2022 was their first-ever top-flight success.

Nicolas Gonzalez and Weston McKennie were on target in Juve's 2-1 triumph last December.

Team news

Dusan Vlahovic is a doubt, having limped off at half-time during the Parma debacle. Teun Koopmeiners is still struggling with an Achilles problem.

Federico Gatti and Samuel Mbangula remain on the injury list alongside long-term absentees Gleison Bremer, Juan Cabal and Arkadiusz Milik.

Monza will be without four key players injured — Keita Balde, Danilo D'Ambrosio, Armando Izzo and club captain Matteo Pessina.

Players to watch

Juventus - Kenan Yildiz

The Turkish teenager, wanted by a clutch of Premier League clubs, come off the bench against Parma and is expected to start.

He was off the pace during Wednesday's defeat, following a week-long impact injury, but has got his groove back under Tudor.

Monza - Dany Mota

The Portuguese forward has been involved in over a quarter of Monza’s Serie A strikes this season with two goal assists and finding the back of the net five times.

One more goal this term will see him hit a new personal best tally for Serie A strikes in a season.

Expected line-ups

Monza possible starting XI:

Turati; Pereira, Caldirola, Carboni; Birindelli, Castrovilli, Bianco, Akpa Akpro, Kyriakopoulos; Mota, Caprari

Juventus possible starting XI:

Di Gregorio; Kalulu, Veiga, Kelly; Weah, Locatelli, Thuram, Yildiz, McKennie, Conceicao; Muani

Old Juve prediction

Juventus 2 Monza 0

Juventus might be in a delicate position at the moment, but surely they can put Monza to the sword. They scored twice in each of their last three league meetings.

With Vlahovic probably out, this game offers Kolo Muani a golden opportunity to prove himself to Tudor.
