Juventus manager Luciano Spalletti can be credited for making the perfect and necessary tactical changes following Sunday's loss at Napoli. The Bianconeri bounced back from that disappointment, but made heavy weather in seeing off brave Pafos.
Michelle Di Gregorio - 5
Made a great save to prevent what would have been an embarrassing own goal mjust five minutes into the game. Overall he wasn't tested much.
Teun Koopmeiners - 6
The makeshift center-back was strong in duels, fantastic with the ball at his feet and had chances from set pieces. Granted the freedom to drive with the ball due to the low Pathos block.
Lloyd Kelly - 5
Bang average. He wasn't involved in build-ups all that often, and when he was tended to opt for a clever short pass.
Pierre Kalulu - 6
Defensively solid. Like Koopmeiners, he was involved in build-ups to assist Edon Zhegrova and Weston McKennie on the right. .
Andrea Cambiaso - 5
The wingback was lost defensively, but assisted Yildiz magnificently when going forward. Needs to do better to help his team-mates break down a low block.
Fabio Miretti - 5
The lively midfielder was unable to create chances throughout his appearance. Kept the attacks flowing, and made it harder for the Pathos midfield to win the ball.
Manuel Locatelli - 5
The skipper was nothing special. His passing range was average, his off the ball movement when attacking was non-existent and he didn't add anything to the offense.
Weston McKennie - 6
Clever on the ball. He took risks in the right moment and gave space for Zhegrova to go 1v1 and fpr Kalulu to create an attacking overload on the right.
Kenan Yildiz - 8 (Old Juve Man Of The Match)
The Turkish star was closely marked by what must have felt like the whole Pathos backline.los Explosive, creative and direct in order to try and break down the low block.
Edon Zhegrova - 6
Most attacks went down the left-hand side, but he got into some good positions and threatened when cutting in onto his left foot.
Jonathan David - 6
The goal poacher superbly tucked away a fine counter-attack to kill off Pafos' hopes. This strike may well kickstart his season sporting a Juve jersey.
Substitutes
Francisco Conceicao - 6
The tricky winger was rapid, direct and had fire in his belly following his half-time introduction. Tested the Pafos players with his quick-thinking.
Lois Openda - 5
Following his 30-minute cameo, he didn't impact the game anywhere near as much as he should have considering his pace.
Khephren Thuram - 5
Only introduced to see out the game, which is exactly what he did. Nothing fancy but he simply did his job.
Vasilije Adzic - 5
The teenager did all he was asked to his 16 minutes to see out the tie, to ensure that there was no late drama against the underdogs.
Juan Cabal - 5
Played nine minutes and made three passes. That was it, but this was nothing more than a bit-part performance.
