A combined price of just over €50 million (US$56m) could persuade Club Brugge to sell defender Joel Ordonez and hot-shot striker Christos Tzolis to Juventus.

His debut season at Club Brugge has been astonishing, finding the back of the net 21 times and providing 16 goal assists. The strength, speed and technique of Ordonez and Tzolis make the pair a particularly appealing prospect for Juventus, especially if they can remain team-mates.

Both players were involved in January’s scoreless Champions League encounter in Bruges, which severely dented Juve’s hopes of a top eight finish in the highly-lucrative competition.

During the same month, Club Brugge were in discussions with a plethora of clubs in England and Germany about the possible transfer of 21-year-old Ordonez.

Brugge head coach manager Nicky Hayen expressed his preference to sell Ordonez at the end of the season, which resulted in Chelsea turning their attention to other targets.

With Club Brugge finishing runner-up to Genk in the Belgian Pro League, the trio of Arsenal, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are now showing the most interest in Ordonez.

Club record viable

With the Ecuadorian central defender valued by his club at €37m (US$41.5m), a summer sale would smash the club record. Brazilian forward Igor Thiago was snapped up by Brentford last year for €35.6m (US$40m).

Ordonez’s team-mate Tzolis is a shooting star despite playing as a left winger. He has attracted plenty of interest from various top clubs courtesy of his goal involvement.

He is the standout player out of the three left wingers on Juve’s summer radar, and with the powerful Greece international available for just €18m (US$20m).

Norwich City flop

Tzoli found his scoring boots during a one-season loan from Norwich City at Fortuna Dusseldorf, where he bagged 22 goals in 30 appearances. The German second tier club snapped him up in May 2024, but swiftly sold him to Club Brugge for €6m (US$6.7m) two months later.
