This past summer transfer window, Juventus improved their midfield. However, they weren't planning to be done with all their moves, as one player confirmed that the Old Lady had its eyes on him.

With new manager Thiago Motta in the fold, the Serie A side made major adjustments to their midfield. As far as arrivals go, Douglas Luiz, Khéphren Thuram, and Teun Koopmeiners arrived to bolster the position.

Luiz and Koopmeiners were the expensive signings as both players cost Juventus at least €50 million each, per Transfermarkt. Thuram was a bargain signing for the Turin side with the Frenchman costing €20 million.

However, Juventus didn't want to stop there with their midfield overhaul as one player notes that the Bianconeri wanted a midfielder with attacking qualities.

Shakhtar star confirms interest from Serie A

Shakhtar Donetsk attacking midfielder Georgiy Sudakov had an in-depth interview with La Repubblica (h/t Calciomercato) and confirmed that AC Milan and Juventus made offers to the Ukrainian side in an attempt to land the talented player.

"Is it true that Juve and Milan wanted you? Yes, I received those offers, but Shakhtar rejected them," Sudakov told the Italian media outlet.

Sudakov has been with the Shakhtar first team since 2021 and has a contract with the club until 2028, so it is no surprise that the club chose not to sell the player, who Transfermarkt values at €35 million.

The 22-year-old has made 107 appearances for Shakhtar, scoring 21 goals and registering 19 assists. It will be interesting to see if Milan and Juventus revisit this file in the future or decide to look at other targets.
